I’m not sure what magic could happen to MAKE it so that Eggman was always Robotnik, aside from maybe Robotnik’s soul was put into Eggman’s body when he came back.
If he wants to retcon it, he should either not do this or actually retcon it in-universe somehow. Flynn’s trying to pretend that Eggman is the same guy from the pre-50 issues, Robotnik, as Eggman said, “ I CAME BACK! “ “ YES IT IS! That leads me to something I originally forgot to mention about LAST issue. Sally then says, “ Are you worried about Robotnik? This isn’t the first time we’ve thought we defeated him. We start out with the Freedom Fighters at a concert with Sally saying that Sonic’s moped enough.
